What is the hire catalogue?
The Hire Catalogue is an online tool for automated quotes and bookings. It contains a complete listing of all the equipment available for hire from BJ's.
How can I browse the hire catalogue?
Select a category that you'd like to browse from the navigation on the right hand side of the Hire Catalogue.
How do I add items to my quote?
Whether you're in the equipment listing or a detailed description, simply select the "Add Button" to place this item in your quote.
How do I remove items from my quote?
Once an item has been added to your quote, a "Remove Button" will appear. Selecting this in either the equipment listing or detailed description will remove this item from your quote.
In addition, you can select "View Quote" at any time and remove your selected items from there.
How do I view my quote?
At any time you'd like to see your quote, selecting "View Quote" from the upper right hand navigation will present you with your selected items and the total price estimate.
By default, the Hire Catalogue will assume you intend to hire for a single night. Choosing your preferred pick-up and return dates will adjust the price estimate accordingly. Don't forget to select "Update Quote" to calculate the new price.
How do I lodge a booking for the items in my quote?
Once you're satisfied with the items you've selected in your quote, ensure that you've chosen your preferred pick-up and return dates. If you intend to hire multiple of the same items, you may wish to update the quantity. Don't forget to select "Update Quote" and "Update Quantities" after adjusting the quote.
Finally, proceed to completing your personal details and information about the event. Don't forget to read the terms & conditions of hire. Selecting the "Lodge Booking Button" will submit your quote to the BJ's staff. BJ's staff will contact you during business hours to confirm your booking.
Is personal identification required to collect my hire?
Yes. You'll require a valid Queensland driver's licence in addition to a $200 cash bond (Or credit card swipe). The bond is reimbursed when you return the equipment, subject to the terms & conditions of hire.
Why does BJ's require me to provide information about my event?
BJ's staff have extensive experience and knowledge about types of events. Subsequently, knowing additional information about your event will assist BJ's to ensure you're selecting the most appropriate configuration for your event.
What happens after I lodge my booking?
Your quote is submitted to BJ's. Our staff will check the availability of your selected items. BJ's will contact you for confirmation during business hours, and provide any additional information if necessary.
Why can't I pick-up or return equipment on a Sunday?
BJ's Sound & Lighting is closed on Sunday's. It is not possible to pick-up or return equipment on a Sunday. If you intend to hire over the weekend, BJ's will not charge you for Sunday. You can return weekend hires on Monday.

Which icon is BJ's using in the hire catalogue for important notices?
The icon is called "Emblem Important" and is a part of the the "Tango Desktop Project".
